Supplying clean, secure and sustainable supplies of water, food and energy, while managing waste and optimizing circular economies, is still an aspiration rather a policy-in-operation in Sub-Saharan Africa.
ACTUATE will encourage the adoption of the anaerobic digester technology and circular economy by showcasing the benefits.
Establish two demonstrator systems and SHOW labs – one on the UniBen campus in Benin City, Nigeria and one within the community-based primary school in Madina Zongo in Accra, Ghana.
Work with communities to demonstrate that waste is energy and a resource to be harnessed locally.
